Lagan has extensive experience in building commissioning, working with some of the largest commissioning/energy services firms in the Northwest. He has commissioned many successful projects throughout Montana. Lagan has 9 years of experience in building commissioning, including Existing Building Commissioning (EBCx), and 12 years of experience in construction and energy related fields including energy auditing, energy engineering, renewable energy systems design and installation, project management, and sales. Lagan holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, and supported himself through college working as a carpenter among other labor jobs. His duties include all aspects of the commissioning process as defined in the commissioning plan or proposal that is developed to fit your needs. Lagan lives in Missoula, MT.

Kevin has 10+ years of experience in commissioning and retro-commissioning as well as 7 years of experience in the plumbing industry including installation, purchasing, and sales. He was able to complete the Mechanical Engineering curriculum at Montana State University while working as a plumber. He has 4 years of practical experience in hydronic system design, troubleshooting, and installation. His duties include system design of control schematics and sequences, as well as, reviewing design documents, developing commissioning plans, scheduling commissioning tasks throughout the project, developing pre-functional checklists, start-up tests, functional performance tests, and TAB verification. Kevin lives in Bozeman, MT
Wesley has 2 ½ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design and 6 years of experience in commissioning. He was able to complete the Mechanical Engineering curriculum at Montana State University while working as an engineer. His duties include project management, reviewing design sequences, reviewing design documents, developing pre-functional checklists, start-up tests, and functional performance tests. Wesley became a partner in Elkhorn Commissioning Group in January, 2022. Wesley also started our Helena office.

Kevin has more than a decade of experience in HVAC testing,
adjusting and balancing (TAB) as well as building systems
commissioning. In addition to his field experience, he has also
held positions as a Mechanical Design Engineer and has more
than 10 years in HVAC and piping design. Having joined
Elkhorn Commissioning Group in 2018, his responsibilities
include acting as Commissioning Authority providing
commissioning services for advanced technology, healthcare,
commercial and institutional market sectors.
Domenic brings over 10 years of experience in Building Systems Commissioning and Retrocommissioning to Elkhorn's Missoula Office.
Scott started as an intern in January 2020, and graduated in May 2020 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Having worked in aviation maintenance and quality assurance for the Air Force/Air National Guard, Scott is very detail oriented and thorough, and has quickly adapted his skillset to HVAC systems. Scott currently works from our Missoula, MT office.
Emily has a Bachelor's of Science as well as a Master's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University. After some time in the injection molding industry, Emily found a great fit in Commissioning, which pairs her desire to learn and solve problems with a passion for sustainability.
Chris joins Elkhorn after spending several years in the Temperature Controls field. Chris graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering after growing up in Bozeman. Chris' attention to detail and background in controls makes Commissioning a natural fit.
Christian joined our Helena office in January, 2024 after working in the utility industry. He is a 2022 graduate from South Dakota State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Christian is quickly becoming a very effective Commissioning Technician.

Joe has 30 of experience in Temperature Controls Design, Commissioning and Sales and 8 years of experience in Building Commissioning. Temperature control experience includes design of pneumatic and DDC control systems, programming of DDC systems, project management of installation and commissioning team and Branch Manager for Johnson Controls, Montana. Joe retired from full time work in May of 2019, however we are able to occasionally talk him into helping out here and there.
